Mayor Shelbourne

Mayor Shelbourne is the mayor of the island town of Swallow Falls in the film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. He is also minor antagonist in the first film. When he's not obese he is selfless, sweet, kind, silly, nice, cheerful and jolly. But when he is obese, he is power-hungry, mean, devious, rude, sneaky, manipulative, scheming, naughty, bad, paranoid and murderous.

Personality

He is a greedy, selfish and most of all gluttonous man who dreams of being big and achieving greatness and wanted people to say "that is one big mayor!" when they saw him (something he would eventually achieve, although it was due to his massive girth rather than achievements). He is also a lying and manipulative man with little morals. Due to his gluttonous and voracious nature, he has an unhealthy obsession with eating and loves to eat unhealthy amounts of food in one go and has a craving for the most bizarre and fatty foods imaginable such as a pizza stuffed inside a turkey deep fried in chocolate,or even an giant hot dog a la mode, he even ate his own sandwich raft.

History

Mayor Shellbourne arrested.

When Flint returned to the lab Shelbourne was huge and told him he could turn on the machine and be a great man or turn it off and nobody will love him.

Fate

He is last seen slowly sinking into the sea due to having eaten most of his sandwich raft. In the film's credits, he is shown having lost his excess weight and getting arrested by Earl Devereaux. He has a cameo appearance in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 in which he is being a good guy and is selling a Corn Dog from Mayor's Corn Dogs on the beach after he left prison. He is still greedy as he sells corn dogs for 5$ each.
